Ramana Maharshi Advice To Suri Nagamma During Her Menstruation

Once people were arranging elaborately to celebrate Bhagavan Ramana's Jayanti.Even a few days before that event, devotees were busy composing poems on Bhagavan and others were making arrangements for the feast.Once for a Jayanti, Gurram Venkata Subbraramiah, Krishna Bhikshu and other great devotees arrived even three or four days before the Jayanti.Everyone was happy awaiting the joyous occasion.

It so happened that commecing a day before, Suri Nagamma had to undergo the monthly menstruation, during that period. She felt extremely sad and was cursing her fate in the house.Subbaramaiah went to her house to find out the position. On knowing the facts,he also felt bad and after speaking a few good words to her, left for the Asram.

Bhagavan Ramana asked Subbaramiah for the reason. When it was explained to Him,He said: "Why should she feel remorse for such a natural event? Is it not a good time, for her, to sit in isolation and meditate on the Self?" Subbaramiah came back to her house after lunch in Asram and told her the words of Bhagavan Ramana.

What more consolation one needs from a Guru for such an occasion of remorse?
